The Environmental Commissioner of Ontario is the province’s independent environmental watchdog. Appointed by the Legislative Assembly, the ECO is tasked with monitoring and reporting on compliance with the Environmental Bill of Rights, and the government’s success in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in achieving greater energy conservation in Ontario. We designed the 72 page report which included a custom cover photoshoot and illustrations.
The report was printed with local, chlorine free, 100% post-consumer waste fiber, biogas energy source FSC recycled paper as well as made available for download from their site. We also created an EPUB version of the publication so its optimized for viewing on mobile devices – saving more paper and resources while increasing accessibility to the report. This was the first EPUB for the client and has set a new standard for all future reports.
