We designed a new direct mail piece for the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association. This piece took advantage of variable printing so we could customize the cover of each brochure to include the recipients name.
Just another example of the Toronto based Swerve Design Group’s design expertise.
June 5th, 2012Report Design for the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario
The Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO) released Volume 1 of his 2011 Annual Energy Conservation Progress Report to the Legislature on June 5th, 2012.
The report features English, French, print, PDF and epub versions. A new idea we presented for the ECO is the use of QR codes on some of the pages. Scanning the code brings the viewer to videos of the Commissioner discussing further details from the report.
This is the latest in a series of reports that Swerve has designed for the Commissioner.

Here is a nice cover design we did for Bellwood Health Services. We designed a 6 page brochure to help promote their event – included information on all the speakers, topics, bios, application form etc.
Mark created the face out of multiple images to make it look like one face, then added some painterly effects to finish it off.
January 12th, 2012Direct Mail Campaign for Conference
This direct mail piece was designed to promote the upcoming Golf Superintendents annual Turf Grass Conference. Using variable printing each brochure was customized with the recipient’s name on the cover. Studies have shown that using this technique increases the success rate of direct mail campaigns.

We are very proud of our design for the Ontario Environmental Commissioner.
In his 2010/2011 Annual Report “Engaging Solutions” released today, Gord Miller says there’s no shortage of talk about the problems such as climate change, waste diversion, and the loss of biodiversity. “But when it comes to doing something” says Miller, “there doesn’t seem to be a lot actually happening.
